How much does a house cost in the province of West Flanders?
In 2025, the median price of a house in the province of West Flanders was €300,000, across 13,570 sales, according to Statbel. For an apartment it was €245,000. In the first half of 2026, Statbel's latest release, the median price reaches €305,000 for a house and €255,000 for an apartment.
A house there costs 5% less than in Belgium as a whole, where the median price was €315,000.
The gap between municipalities is still wide: in 2025, the median house sold for €732,500 in Knokke-Heist, against €190,000 in Menin.
How prices have changed in the province of West Flanders
Since 2010, the median house price in the province of West Flanders has gone from €180,000 to €300,000, a change of +67%. Over one year, from 2024 to 2025, it changed by +3%.
For an apartment, it went from €163,000 to €245,000 over the same period, a change of +50%.

For apartments, the most expensive municipality in 2025 is Knokke-Heist (€570,000) and the cheapest is Oostrozebeke (€179,000), out of 33 ranked municipalities.
How to read the map
On this page, only the municipalities of the province of West Flanders stand out in relief. The other Belgian municipalities stay flat and grey. The "All of Belgium" button brings back the relief for the whole country.
Each municipality is a block: the more its houses sell for, the taller the block. The price shown is the middle sale price of the year: half the houses sold for less, the other half for more. The colour says the same thing in nine shades, from light green for under €200,000 to very dark burgundy for €650,000 and over. Houses and apartments share the same colours and heights, so you can compare them at a glance.
For 2026, Statbel has only published the first six months so far. The map will show the full year as soon as it is out.
