Loan-to-value ratio
Ratio between the borrowed amount and the property value.
Full definition
The loan-to-value ratio (LTV) is the percentage of the property price covered by the mortgage. In Belgium, the NBB (National Bank of Belgium) imposes limits: maximum 90% for own dwelling (with 35% of files allowed to exceed 90%) and maximum 80% for investments.
