Condensing boiler

High-performance boiler that recovers heat from flue gases to optimize efficiency.

Full definition

A condensing boiler is a gas or oil heating system that recovers latent heat from combustion flue gases, achieving efficiency above 100% (on LCV). In Belgium, it has been the minimum standard for new installations since 2015. Its 95-109% efficiency (on HCV) makes it significantly more economical than a conventional boiler (80-90%). Regional grants encourage installation: up to EUR 1,000 in Wallonia and Brussels.
